Luyksgestel (The Netherlands), October 22nd 2016: Rudi van Houts (age 32), living in Luyksgestel in The Netherlands, has decided to end his career as a professional in the world of MTB. Van Houts participated three times at the Olympic Games and many World Championships races. Rudi was a valuable team member for international MTB teams as Multivan-Merida Biking Team and CST-Superior Brentjes MTB Team.
On his Facebook page Rudi says: “I decided to end my career as a professional mountain bike racer. New challenges and my motivation to train at full speed to accomplish new goals are not as they used to be anymore. Cycletrend Eersel wants to offer their customers new services e.g. clinics and personal coaching. That’s the challenge I’m ready for now. Besides of that Richard Spierings (MaxTraining Waalre) and I have the idea to train cyclists in core stability training. In my new role as an ambassador of Esdee4Sport I want to share my experiences with the next generations. It was certainly a difficult decision to make but now I’ve made it, it feels good that I did.”
